The highlight of open house? I must have been told 20 times that "everyone" has such good things to say about me and that people have heard I am an amazing teacher
...man my ego needed that!
In other news, Drew and I have been hardcore cleaning to get ready for Saturday's festivities. We filled the bed of his truck with stuff for the dump (his buddy works there and sometimes takes stuff for us). The things is seriously packed. Drew has to drive the truck to work in the morning before meeting up with his buddy to drop off the truck. He's worried that he will look like (and I quote) "hillbilly white trash"
...I told him to tell people they're his treasures. They won't know what to say to that.
Glad to hear your new job is going so well! Have an awesome time at your party...C and I are attempting a Halloween party and I'm sure his Jeep will look like that soon enough!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that people have such good things to say about your teaching. Sometimes, we just need a little pick me up like that. I think a real sign of your teaching ability comes from if your students come back and visit you - which they did! Congrats!
