My Heart is Breaking Today

For the families of those people in Newtown, Conneticut.

I cried the whole way home today. It breaks my heart to think of those poor, innocent children. Those parents who sent their kids to school today, and will never get them back home. I can't even beging to imagine how they are feeling. How other kids in that school are feeling. How that town will rebuild. It's horrifying, terrifying, and unimaginable.

I came home today an snuggled my sweet little baby a little tighter tonight. Gave her an extra kiss when I put her down to bed. I'm thankful that I get to do that tonight, and aching for the mom's who can't.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by today's events.

  1. I feel the same about this. How could someone be so sick to take his anger out inside a school? The parents sent their kids to school as normal and expected to share Christmas with them soon and now they are gone. My prayers and thoughts go out to these families.

  2. i feel you. my heart is very heavy. i think our whole nation will be grieving for a very long time. all we can do is send prayers and squeeze our little ones extra tight like you gave and appreciate every moment we are given.
