Sunday Social

What is your ideal way to relax

Curled up on the couch with the dog and a warm blanket reading a book. I don't do it as often as I should, but it really is the best way for me to relax.

Where is your favorite place to be

Home. I am such a homebody. I will take a night at home on the couch to going out any night of the week. And that's not a new thing since being married/having a baby. I've always been that way. Even in college, when I loved going out and partying... I still loved being at home (even in when home was the dorm) the best.

Who do you consider your biggest roll model

I don't know if I really have one. Is that weird? I have plenty of people whom I admire and/or strive to be like, but I can't say I have one person whom I look up to and how affects my life significantly.

What does your life look like in 3 years?

Hopefully we're contemplating baby #2 at that point... which means Fynn will actually be sleeping through the night (a girl can dream, right?) I plan for us to be in a different house (maybe in the same town, maybe not). I hope that I'm still teaching 5th grade in the same school (though in 3 years we will have a brand new building which I'm super excited for)... I don't know, I hope my life in 3 years is pretty much my life now, just continued.

If you could go back and change one decision what would it be?

I quit the dance team my freshman year of college. I was overwhelmed and homesick and scared that all the performance on weekends would make it so I couldn't go home and see Drew (who was a senior in high school at the time). I ended up rejoining the team the next year, but I really wish I had done it that first year.

What is your biggest accomplishment in life thus far?

Um, hello? I created a human being here! A cute, sweet, smiley, non-sleeping baby girl. Not to sound all mom here, but since having her, all the other little things I've done in my life just pale in comparison. Yeah, there are other awesome things I've done in my life, but having her is really the only thing I've ever done that has a lasting affect even after I'm gone.

Don't forget my link-up this Tuesday! One picture from your week, three words.

  2. Your life in three years sounds just like mine. Probably a new baby, a new house, and hopefully the same job!
