Sunday Social

1. Favorite thing to do on a rainy day?

Curl up on the couch and read or watch tv. Anything relaxing and mindless. Rainy days just make me feel tired and blah.

2. Favorite thing to do on a Summer weekend?

Sit outside in the sun with a good book. I can be on the beach, by the pool, or just out on my deck, but I love sitting in the warm sun and relaxing with something interesting to read.

3. Favorite Spring accessory?

I've got these in like 10 colors
Flip flops! Ok, ok, they're technically supposed to be for summer. And it's not exactly warm enough in Maine for flip flops before late April/early May... but to me, nothing says spring like breaking out the open-toed shoes

4. Favorite way to spend a Winter day?

Yup, that's me on my Ski Doo MXZ 550
Riding on my snowmobile which I haven't done much of the past two winters... next winter we're dropping the Bitty off with one of our parents and hitting up the trails. I miss it!). On really cold winter days I love having the wood stove cranking.

5. What is your favorite season and why?

Summer! I love the warmth, the sun, the longer days. I love that I get the summers off (one of the few perks of teaching). I'm always in a better mood in the summer and much more relaxed.

6. Best birthday you ever had?

This is a random question to have in with all the ones about seasons. Hm... best birthday? I don't really know. Most of my birthdays have been pretty low-key. I guess my 16th birthday is my most memorable because my best friends (at the time) threw me an awesome surprise party (they even invited Drew who I was friends with at the time and had a major crush on!). It was also great because my parents got me 16 gifts and gave them to me throughout the day. They even had my best friend (who conveniently was in all my classes that year) give me a gift in every class. It's not that they were huge gifts or anything, it was just the thought and love that went into it. And the fun and excitement of not knowing what was coming next. It made me feel special to have that much thought and attention go into my birthday. I can't wait to do things like that for Fynn on her birthdays.

  1. I love movies days when it is rainy outside. There isn't a better excuse for staying in pj's and eating fun foods!
