The Croods {and A Giveaway}

It's an age-old story. Dad wants to protect his family. Teenage girl wants her independence and a chance to really experience the world... we just don't usually see this dynamic play out in a cartoon cave-family.

The Croods, it's the latest Dreamworks animated movie hitting theaters March 22nd in 3D. It stars some well-known names such as Nicolas Cage, Cloris Leachman and Emma Stone as a family of cavemen (cavepeople?).

Their home is suddenly destroyed they are forced to set out on a road trip to find a new place to live. On their journey they discover new places, faces, and themselves. The father, Grug wants to keep his family safe. Safe as in unchanged... and bored. His wife, Ugga and son, Thunk are content with his "fear is good; change is bad" motto. But teenage daughter Eep wants to break free of her boring life and discover the wide world in front of her.

It's the clash of personalities and dynamics that make this movie look like yet another hilarious Dreamworks comedy, I can't wait to see it. The pictures and trailers I've seen show yet another brilliantly created masterpiece that will surely be a box office success.
