Medical Alert Devices

Whenever I think of medical alert devices, I think about that old commercial:

That being said, I totally get why some people would need one. If you live alone, or have medial issues, something like this could really save your life. A couple of times when I've done something stupid, like walk into a wall or fall down the stairs, I think about what would happen if I was really hurt and couldn't get to my phone. What would I do? Would someone find me in time? It's really scary to think about. And I'm not even an elderly person living on my own. I think I'd move into an assisted living facility or nursing home before I'd live alone when I'm old... just saying.

This is where a product like Vital Alert is amazing. It's a pendent worn around your neck with a service that you can connect to with just the push of a button. Their 24/7 service can help you in the event of an emergency, and give you peace of mind that if something were to happen, you could get help quickly and easily. Even if you can't reach a phone.  Knowing that there's someone there 24/7 if you ever need help is a really comforting thought. I have my phone with me a lot, but there are plenty of times when I'm upstairs and it's on the counter. Or I leave it in the car... or I just can't find it anywhere. Having a pendant right on my body is just reassuring.

Not just for emergencies, though. If you're not feeling well or thinking something could be wrong, Vital Alert can connect you to a nurse helpline who can give you advice or direct you to the appropriate care. The Nurse Helpline is available 24/7 to answer questions and be there when you need it most... it's nice to know there's someone there on the line... just in case.
