Swim Lessons

Looking a little nervous
before the first class
Holding on
to Mama
Like I mentioned in my Thursday Thoughts post last week, Fynn started swim lessons a few weeks ago. I wasn't sure what to think the first day of lessons. I mean, she is just 10 months old. I know that she loves the bathtub and splashes around in there. She has no fear about getting her face wet... but that didn't mean she'd enjoy being in a pool, or learning to "swim"

The first day she was really uncertain. She clung to me in the water and didn't seem to know what to do. She didn't really like it when I "helped" her jump in the pool. Or when I made her splash. By the end of it though, she was smiling and splashing her hands around.

Since then, she's gotten more and more comfortable. Now she splashes right from the beginning and leans away from me to try to do things on her own. She loves when we sing songs together and when she jumps into the pools. She did, however, get a mouthful of water last week. I thought she was just looking at the water really closely... but nope, she was drinking it. My bad. She really enjoys watching the other kids in the pool, and I'm just glad she's getting comfortable in the water. I plan on spending a lot of time at the beach, in the pool, and at the lake this summer, so I want her to feel comfortable in it.
