So What Wednesday

Is this week over yet? No? Sad. I guess I just have to say "So What" if:

  • Drew came home with the info for our next 5K and I am beyond excited for it... who am I and what happened to the Amanda who thought running for 5 minutes was the ultimate torture? 
  • I'm super nervous for Fynn's 15 month check up this morning. She's getting her blood work done again to check her iron levels. We've done everything we can to give her as much iron-rich foods as we can. I'm nervous that they're going to say it wasn't enough and we're going to have to give her iron supplements.
  • it bugs me that Drew has lost 14 lbs in the past couple of months. I mean, yay for him, but where are my 14 lbs of weight loss? We run almost the same amount (he does get to run a little more because he runs at work while I have to do it after work... which sometimes doesn't happen if Fynn's having a rough day or Drew has to work late). I've lost 3 pounds since I started running. THREE?!?!?! 
  • speaking of being jealous of Drew. How come Fynn will go running to him for a hug when he gets home, but gives me dirty looks when I show up at daycare... not cool kid, not cool.
  • this is a lame "so what" this week. Eh, it's the best I can do.

  1. My husband lost 20lbs after quitting Mountain Dew (and he still drinks other sodas!) and I lost NOTHING going cold turkey off all soda and switching to zero calorie iced tea. :/ I also lost nothing when I started running. Oh men!

  2. So not fair that guys lose weight much more easily! Good luck with the 5k- I learned my lesson this weekend that keeping up with training is a must for non-runners like myself!
