April Ipsy

Oh Ipsy, just the mood-booster I needed in the middle of a lo-ong week. It came on Tuesday, but I didn't even get the chance to look at it until Wednesday night... that's when you know it's been a rough week.

This month's Ipsy theme is Beauty Rocks... though the selection was little less rock than natural beauty. The bag is kinda cute...I'll end up using using it for make up, travel... or Fynn's "lipstick" (chapstick, the girl's obsessed). Here's what was in the bag:

St Tropez Gradual Tan plus Anti-Aging Multi-action Face~$8 (smaller sample size of .5 oz)

Whoa is this a mouthful, what a name. I'm excited to try this out because I got to keep this face looking young. Fynn has aged me, well about 15 years according to my eye doctor. Add some tanning lotion to the mix and I'm sold. I just hope it's light enough of a tanner to work on my uber-ghost skin tone.

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil- Travel Size~ $10
I don't usually love eyeliner, but for some reason I put this on the other night right when I got it. It goes on super amazingly smooth and looks awesome. Usually I make a mess with eyeliners, but this one was easy. It was a little hard to get off completely, but that might be because I washed it off while it was still pretty fresh.

Mary Kay at Play Jelly Lip Gloss in Teddy Bear- $10

At first I worried that this color would be rediculously pale... like that white lipstick that was big in the '90's (no, just me), but I really liked how it looked when it was own. Natural and glossy. What I didn't like was how it felt. Super sticky. Yuck. I wiped it off right away because I can't stand sticky lip gloss. It just feels gross and then ends up getting my hair caught it in.

Elizabeth Mott Pop! Goes the Shadow in Champagne- $12.99

I don't love it or hate it. I'm glad it's a color that I can wear. It's shimmery and cute, perfect for summer. Of course I dropped it when I was opening it up and dug a huge chunk out of the eye shadow... smooth Amanda.

Dr. Brandt microdermabrasion ~$9.75 for 7.5 grams
This sounds cool, especially since it says it can diminish discolorations which is great because I have super red skin and I love anything that can minimize that. I hate not wearing foundation because my skin always looks so blotchy.

As always, I love my Ipsy bag. This month's bag was worth about $50.74. A great deal since I pay $10 a month for it all.
