February 2015 Ipsy Bag

This month's Ipsy bag was pretty hit or miss for me. I absolutely loved half of it, and have absolutely no use for the other half. Oh well, you can't win them all. I do love the bag this month. Adorable, and another one I have to hide from Fynn so she doesn't steal it from me. She found my stash the other day when she was "helping" me organize my closet and ended up stealing 3 more to keep her treasures in... she told me one was for her lunch... I should probably look for that one at some point soon to make sure she didn't really put any food in it. The theme this month was #ipsyLove which makes since with V-day, but the whole having to hashtag everything is getting old. Cosmetics Mini Lip Gloss in Anguilla(~$8)

I didn't need any more pink lip gloss, so I offered it up to my mom and my sister. I think one of them took it, because it's no longer on the counter with the other make up I offered to them. Nothing really wrong with it, just not something I need more of to never end up using.

Luxie Beauty Large Angled Face Brush (Usually $16, on sale right now for $8)
I love this and I was in need of another face brush. I recently bought a powder brush, but this is great for blending and getting a smoother look. The brush is super, super soft and supposedly has an antibacterial coating on it so it won't make me break out when if I forget to wash it. This was probably my favorite part of this month's bag and even on sale pretty much paid for the bag. BLUSH Cheek Powder in Ballerina Pink ($20)

Another part of this month's bag that I had no use for. Do people actually still use blush? It's never been a part of my make up routine since I'm already too pale with pink tints to my skin... blush would just make me look feverish, especially something this bright. Pass.

Rob Scheppy for 'tiny Beauty Eye Shadow in Pearl Fizz (~$5)
I like how neutral this eyeshadow is. Will I wear it? Not often, but that's because I'm too lazy to add eyeshadow to my daily routine and I'm not exactly hitting the town these days with a 2 1/2 year old and 9 month prego belly. But, on those rare occasions where my style becomes more spiffy than spit up, this is something I will use and enjoy.

Joya Compostion No. 1 Parfum Oil (~$15)
I don't usually get perfume in my glam bag, but I really like this one. I'm not sure what it really smells like, it's different, but enjoyable. I could see using this on a daily basis. I also like that it's a roll on perfume because then I can just use a little at a time without it getting overpowering. That said, the bottle I got in my bag is so tiny that I'll probably end up losing it before I use much of it.

Bonus Item: Skynn Face Cloths
I cashed in a bunch on my bonus points this month to get these face wipes. I've loved them in the past and really wanted some to put in my hospital bag for when B is born. I love how clean my face feels after using them and there's no residue, perfect for baby snuggles. This immediately went into my hospital bag (which is actually packed... just not in the car or anywhere useful that I could get it to the car by myself. Baby steps).

Like I said, I didn't love love my Ipsy bag this month, but there was enough to make it completely worth the $10 monthly subscription cost. Not to mention, it's just always fun to get make up in the mail.
